Why do we find it so difficult to
tell the truth? Because we fear others finding out that we are as imperfect as them. We try and fool one another with our masks of perfection. We
fool them, but worse than that, we fool ourselves.
If we could
just let go of the need to impress others with our crazy lies, we would free
ourselves to be who we are.
Here are two
facts:
1. Everyone you are trying to impress
and deceive is just as afraid of dropping their masks and being their authentic
selves as you are.
2. It only takes ONE to change the
status quo. If you brave it and drop your pretences you will give everyone else
in your circle permission to be their unbridled selves.
Don’t be afraid.
Be true to yourself. Be who we are and say what you want.
Every one of us was born honest,
authentic and open. It is the most natural thing to be. Unfortunately
we have been conditioned into dishonesty by our upbringing, by fearful people.
We were taught to tell white lies and feed others fake compliments. We were
conditioned to say “Thank you” and “It’s my pleasure” while we are choking in
our displeasure.
Don’t buy into your conditioned
patterns. Challenge your upbringing, your education and religion. If your Yes is not Yes and your No
is not No, what is the point of your existence? We are muddling our way through
life like blind men in the game ‘Blind man’s bluff’.
Why do we
battle to fathom what our partners, friends and colleagues want? Because we are
all lying to each other and to ourselves.
Until we can
confess what we want, we are going to continue manifesting what we don’t want. By hiding the truth from yourself or others is to live in denial and to be
a prisoner to your bridled thoughts. You are not free.

Tell the truth! You will be so relieved that you did.
Have a great
week
Love
Nicolette
