FREEDOM FROM MIND

The mind holds the key to your enjoyment of your Earthly experience.

Mind is the only thing that holds you back and prevents you from letting go of the past and forgiving. It is simply just your mind.

The first thing you need to comprehend is that your mind will automatically deviate towards the negativity of past experience. That is your natural default setting. It is what unconscious people do who are unaware of the potential they own in steering and choosing their thoughts.

Did you know that you don’t have to be an emotional rollercoaster, reliving all your past unpleasant experiences? You don’t have to slot into the negativity of all those in your social circle either. You don’t have to be a slave to your mind.

But here’s the thing. If you don’t choose your thoughts, they will choose you. And then observe the downward spiral. You will follow all your negative thoughts down the plughole. And when that happens all happiness will quickly evaporate. Negativity attracts more negativity and so the cycle is set to repeat ad infinitum.

You see, when you make the conscious decision to unlock yourself from the mind’s memory loop, you open the doors to your heart.

Mind doesn’t give us anything new, but the heart does. The heart is the place where we create and imagine and dream. Heart is the centre of unconditional love and compassion.

When you free yourself from mind you open yourself to the realm of infinite unconditional love. This is the space from where you mastermind and create a life of abundance.

The heart is the power band. The mind will limit you and hold you ransom to the past, but heart will set you free.

This week endeavour to detach from your self-limiting thoughts and live from your heart space. See good in every situation and everyone you come into contact with. Detach yourself from the general malaise and perception that this world is going down the tubes. Dream a new dream.
Open your heart and see with the eyes of heart. See all the potential around you. See the beauty. Notice all you have and what is good in your life right this minute. Start with breath. Be grateful for the air you breathe that sustains your life. Be grateful for your eyes that see. Be grateful for your mind and all the lessons it continually reminds you of. And tell your mind, “Thank you mind for the good job you do, but from now on my past is no longer the blueprint for my future.” I am no longer second guessing my luck based on what happened twelve days, months or years ago.

I am like a young child, excited to see what this new day holds. Now is my moment. I am free. There is no greater freedom than freedom from mind.

Detach from the legalities and limitations of mind and live from the expansiveness of your heart.

Have an extraordinary week

Finding the Pauses

As the year draws to a close, I am acutely aware of the frenetic mode I have been operating in for the past seven months.

Having concluded my Forgiveness Workshops on Saturday, I am feeling quite racy and propelled forwards by the momentum of the last seven months. It feels like I have been going so fast that I haven’t had the awareness of the spaces between, the little pauses and full stops between the sentences and paragraphs that have been consuming me.

Life is such a circle of learning isn’t it? How necessary are the times of hibernation, times to digest, empty and rebirth. I love the lessons I garner from nature.

I am preparing myself now to complete the circle as I plan my slide backwards into the stillness, for a wonderful, guilt-free and well-deserved break over December.

Now, is not the time to create new ideas and implement them. Now, is the time to consolidate and package up all the nuggets that we have implemented this year.

It is time to look back and assess our year for what it was. Some of us may be disappointed we didn’t do more. Others of us may need to pat ourselves on the back and tell ourselves how proud we are of ourselves. Whatever you did or did not do this year, you need to discern whether next year will be a repeat of this one or whether you will be doing things differently.

Now is the time to practice forgiveness, by learning from what happened, letting go of attachment to the negative experiences or failures and giving yourself another chance to do things differently going forward.

Go within to the stillness and allow all your memories of this year to filter, digest and slowly sidle to a full stop. Find the pause between the last great idea and the birth of the next one.

Give yourself grace and kindness as you switch off the shopping brain with the intent to rest and self-nurture.

Book yourself into a spa for a massage and some pampering or find a good book to escape into. Start intending and allowing the flow of energy to shift from predominantly masculine to that of receptive feminine energy.

I wish you a week of finding the pauses, being gentle with yourself, getting enough rest and listening to all your needs - mental, physical and spiritual.
